• "Each year one number of 'The Poet of the Month" will be devoted, as this one is, to a great poet of the past--perhaps celebrating his anniversary, or, as here, linking him with a contemporary interest. Naturally, in this series, these selections can only be 'samplers,' but we think many readers will be glad to have the cream of a poet's work in handy but attractive form. Too many of us are frightened away by the imposing bulk of collected volumes and so lose touch with great poetry that should be a part of our daily living.
