Caricatures depicting man and wife after three weeks of marriage, ignoring each other as man smokes; scene outside a pub, man smoking, woman leaning out window and vagabond with goods tied to a stick; man smoking and looking content as family cries all around him; a group of rulers and clergy; cartoons depicting man ransacking house for cigarette; trolley driver making passengers wait while he smokes; clubmen sharing a cigar through a large hookah-like device; man in knickers being enticed into a restaurant; cigar and bottle being kicked out of front door, with path leading to back door delineated by arrows; man with gummed flap holding cigarette to lip; men conversing and smoking; man reading and smoking as woman knits; congregant asking priest for cigarette in confessional; man with hand-fanfacing another man with pitpe in a hellish setting; series of four drawings showing fight between shoeshine boy and rich boy with balloon, rich boy ending up with shoeshine boy's cigar.
