- Copy in Sc Rare 973.3-L accompanied by [1] p. (on sheet folded to [4] p.) handwritten letter from George Livermore to Chares E. Moreau, Esq. of New York, dated Boston, Nov. 27, 1858. In the letter, Livermore thanks Moreau for facilitating "Mr. Richardson" to hand Livermore his "Washington Diary." The letter is mounted on a guard preceding the leaf with Livermore's presentation note to Moreau ; Accompanied by [25] leaves of plates bound in to the volume with twenty-four portraits of American statesmen, facing entries in the text related to them, and one portrait of an enslaved woman tipped in at end, clipped from p. 41 of an unknown edition of the Family Christian almanac. The order of plates is as follows: Edward Everett, Jefferson Davis, Louis McLane, William Gaston, Benjamin Franklin, James Otis Jr., John C. Calhoun, Robert Morris, Marquis de Lafayette, John Quincy Adams, Roger Sherman, John Randolph, Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, William Sprague, Israel Putnam, John Stark, John Jay, Nathanael Green, George Washington, Henry Laurens, William Henry Harrison, John Hancock, Andrew Jackson, James Duane, the enslaved woman.
