- Summary
- Choreographer Agnes de Mille shares biographical information and personal reminiscences about various members of her illustrious family, among them her grandfather Henry and her father William, both playwrights. Most of the discussion is devoted to her uncle, the film director Cecil B. DeMille. Among the topics discussed are her impressions of Cecil on the set, his favorite painters, and the themes of religion and sex in his films. On a more personal level, she recalls his response to her ballet Rodeo, and his plans for her performance in his film Cleopatra, a project that was ultimately choreographed by his dance director Le Roy Prinz.
