- The first three volumes are bound in brown cloth; stamped in gold and blind; pale yellow endpapers. Vol. IV is bound in brown cloth and stamped in blind, but in a different pattern; the gold stamping on the shelfback also distinguishes it from the first three volumes.
- Title pages of Vol. III and IV vary; vol. IV dated 1856.
