- Summary
- Semi-finals and finals of the British Professional Rising Stars Competition, accompanied by a running commentary on individuals and dance technique by Bryan Allen and Pat Thompson. The tape opens with a tribute to Sonny Binick (1915-1995), a founding member, chairman, and first life president of the Ballroom Dancers Federation. The Latin competition consists of the cha cha, samba, rumba, and pasodoble; the modern competition comprises the waltz, foxtrot, tango, and quickstep. Some of the dances are replayed in slow motion. The tape also includes interviews, the introduction of the judges, and the presentation of awards.
