  • Mr. Eglevsky discusses the Long Island Festival of the Arts at C.W. Post College; the formation of the program and bringing in unknown dancers such as Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Claire Motte, Niels Kehlet, Solveig Oestergaard, Helgi Tomasson, and Burton Taylor; the dancer as administrator; 19-year-old John Clifford's new jazz work set to Aaron Copland music; restaging the ballet, Paquita; and the role of the male dancer in America. [15 min.; poor quality with echo and some distortion.]
  • Mr. Heckscher discusses his position with the Twentieth Century Fund; cultural programs in New York City's parks; Eleo Pomare's Dancemobile performances; how projects are selected; the city's duty to support the arts; and the distribution of city funds to cultural institutions. [10 min.]
