- Summary
- Mr. Zomosa discusses his background; growing up in Chile; seeing Kurt Jooss' dance The green table in 1954 and being inspired to study dance while in medical school; parental disapproval of his dancing; Ernst Uthoff of the Chilean National Ballet [Ballet Nacional Chileno]; leaving Chile in 1954 to study at the Joffrey School on a Fullbright scholarship; his roles with the Joffrey company; and working with Gerald Arpino on Elegy and Robert Joffrey on Astarte. [16 min.]
- Mr. Wolz discusses the importance of the hula for the Hawaiian tourist trade; the movement to restore traditional Hawaiian dances; documenting native dances; the University of Hawaii's dance program; the Hawaii State Dance Council, of which he is president; the Hawiian dance project; and his own background. [10 min.]
