- Summary
- Educational program on Puerto Rican folk dances, as presented by two performing groups. Information on the dances, music, costumes, and Puerto Rican history and culture are provided in narration and through interviews with the founders and members of the groups. The dances performed include the bomba, the Puerto Rican version of the mazurka, the plena, and several versions of the seis, including one in which the dancers imitate chickens, a version danced with sticks and plates as percussion instruments, and a version danced by men with machetes.
