Educational program on Mexican folk dances as performed by two Mexican companies. The section on Ballet Folklórico de Colima includes footage of company class and rehearsals as well as performance excerpts, and interviews with company members. The Grupo Folklórico del Departamento de Bellas Artes is represented by a potpourri of Nayarit dances, including the jarabe nayarita, los buuyes, and la mahagua. Background information on the companies, their repertory, costumes, and Mexican culture is also presented.
