Mr. Messerer [through interpreter Helen Gillespie] discusses Stepanov notation; his own background; being discovered in class by Aleksandr Gorskǐi; joining the Bolshoi Ballet; his view of Gorskǐi's choreography; Isadora Duncan's influence on Gorskǐi; the Moscow Art Theatre; and learning the Stanislavsky system.
