Summary
Costume of Spanish women, mulattoes, and native Peruvians or Peruvians of mixed Indian and European ancestry (cholo) in Lima. Includes Spanish women wearing mantillas, dressed for the evening, reclining in a hammock smoking a cigar with a man sitting on the far end of the hammock, and on horseback; a mulatto smoking a cigar and wearing jasmine in her hair, a mulatto couple (he smoking) dancing; cholo or Indian wearing multi-colored poncho; chola or Indian wearing black apron in commemoration of Atahualpa, the Inca king; chola or Indian in traditional garb leading llama carrying firewood.
