- Ms. Stodelle discusses her teaching and reconstruction projects of Doris Humphrey's choreography; general theoretical issues in relation to the work of Humphrey; Humphrey's choreographies, Water study and Dionysiaques in particualar; her early years as a dancer during the depression, comparing the times and dancers with those of the present; the difficulty of teaching contemporary dancers Humphrey's work; the importance of letting the choreography speak for itself; various reconstructions, including Humphrey's The call; and Charles Weidman.
