Summary

Two-part dance drama depicting different aspects of the Hindu goddess Durga, the wife of Shiva. In the first part (ca. 26 min.), she is presented as Sati and Parvati; in the second (ca. 22 min.), she appears as the slayer of the buffalo demon Mahisasura. Dancer-choreographer Sonal Mansingh generally works in a style that combines Bharata Natyam and Odissi dance.
