Note

The editor of Gesta pontificum Cameracensium, the Latin original, L. C. Bethmann, in Patrologiae cursus complectus, v. 149, 1853, states that the author, a canon of Cambrai, is unknown. See La grande encyclopédie. In Histoire lit. de la France, v. 8, 1747, and by various other authorities of an earlier date than the preceding the authorship is ascribed to Baudry, a chorister of Thérouanne, who has also by some writers been confused with Baudry, bishop of Noyon.
