- Includes 23 reproductions of watercolor drawings from the album, now in the Lipperheide Collection (cf. Lipperheidesche Kostümbibliothek (2. Aufl.), Pk12), with transcriptions of the relevant inscriptions on facing pages.
- Inscriptions in German and Latin; some in verse.
- Album's original owner was Georg Hermann Richertz; drawings chiefly ascribed by the editors to Friedrich Georg Zimmer, whose autograph appears opposite the 1st drawing as "Friederch. George Zimmer." Cf. concluding essay, p. 5-15, and cf. Thieme-Becker (entry for Zimmer, Wilhelm) where only the 6th drawing is ascribed to Zimmer.
