- Summary
- Etched views of Paris under siege during the Franco-Prussian War, 1870-1871. Includes views of fortifications on Montmartre and along the Seine at Auteuil and elsewhere, military camps, the interior of a post of the Garde Nationale, and war damage. Some prints include observation balloons, chimneys, tents and windmills. One print is dedicated to the print publisher, A. Cadart, commemorating his service during the siege. Some prints are present in more than one state.
