- Summary
- Miscellaneous etchings of Paris and three preparatory drawings. Many are reproductive prints after drawings by Stefano Della Bella, Louis Marie Laurence, Victor Jean Nicolle and other unidentified artists and one after a painting by Reinier Zeeman, of views of Notre-Dame, Musée du Louvre, Châtelet, Place de la Concorde, Pont-Neuf, and the Seine, along with many other architectural structures and details including bridges, chimneys, columns, colonnades, church buildings, footbridges, gable roofs, obelisks, public baths, streets, spires, towers and turrets. Other subjects include allegories, bells, birds, boats, covered wagons, crowds, ferries, fishes, fishers, horses, the house where Jean Paul Marat was assassinated, laundresses, monsters, peddlers, poetry, swords and tanners. Many prints bear the artist's monogram and were printed by either Auguste Delâtre or Pierron. One print was published by the Société des Aquafortistes. One print is a cancellation proof.
