Colored manikin or anatomical model of the human body from head to upper thighs on inside back cover. It is comprised of a central image of the interior of the human body, to which are attached small movable flaps shaped like individual organs, and 2 overlays, each printed on both sides, shaped like the central image and showing different parts of the anatomy. Central image is numbered V; overlays are numbered I-II (on the right) and III-IV (on the left).
New York Public Library copy has publisher's advertisements inside front cover; include advertisement for "The anatomy of the human head and neck ... with descriptive text by Dr. Schmidt," first published approximately 1895.
