  • The cases concern suits brought against George T. Simpson, as attorney general, and against the Railroad and Warehouse Commission of Minnesota and the Northern Pacific, Great Northern and Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad Companies by stockholders of the respective companies, who alleged that acts of the Legislature and orders of the commission, prescribing reduced freight and passenger rates, were unconstitutional.
