  • Disc 2 (ca. 30 min.): Stiltdance masquerade, continued -- Lenjen celebration / choreography, Assane Konte ; performed by the African American Dance Ensemble ; based on the dance style Lenjen [also called Lenjengo] of the Mandinka people of Gambia, West Africa.
  • Disc 3 (ca. 62 min.): Legacy I: La cabeza negra de piedra (The black head of stone) / performed by Forces of Nature ; first part of the Ancestral earths trilogy, depicting various contacts between Africans and Native Americans ; dance-drama about Tehark, an African man who defended the Olmec people in battle -- Chuck Davis tribute / speaker, Abdel R. Salaam ; includes the presentation of a plaque to Davis by representatives of the Council of Elders ; presentation of an award from Brooklyn Academy of Music, represented by Joseph Melillo ; a speech by Charles Reinhart, representing the American Dance Festival ; a speech by Bess Pruitt, Davis's first manager ; and an acceptance speech by Davis. Tape ends before the conclusion of the program.
