Salaam ; includes the presentation of a plaque to Davis by representatives of the Council of Elders ; presentation of an award from Brooklyn Academy of Music, represented by Joseph Melillo ; a speech by Charles Reinhart, representing the American Dance Festival ; a speech by Bess Pruitt, Davis's first manager ; and an acceptance speech by Davis. Tape ends before the conclusion of the program.
