A descriptive plan for erecting a penitentiary house, for the employment of convicts; to which are added, plans for the prevention of frauds and thefts, so far as respects His Majesty's dock-yards, public works, and stores. Also, suggestions adapted to the formation of a law, to subject certain dealers in old iron, copper, lead, ropes, &c. to regulations, calculated at once to prevent thefts, frauds, and embezzlements ... Likewise, some strictures on the alarming progress of the Blackwall rock in the river Thames, shewing the size, composition, and from whence it had its existence; with the cause of that increase; and other remarks how it may be destroyed by the employment of convicts. Also a description and drawings of a new-invented life-boat, of a nature and construction superior to those in use, in the management of which it is proposed to employ a suitable number of convicts. Likewise a plan of a rail-way from London to Portsmouth, on a construction superior to any thing seen in this country.
