Mr. Fernandez discusses his early dance training in New Orleans; touring in South America with Ballet Alicia Alonso; partnering Alicia Alonso; the contemporary ballet repertoire of American Ballet Theatre; the challenge of partnering different ballerinas; compares teaching and performing; describes the dance program at SUNY Purchase; the effect of television and film on ballet's popularity; the benefits, for non dancers, of studying ballet.

Mr. Tomasson discusses studying ballet as a child; receiving a scholarship to the School of American Ballet; performing with the Robert Joffrey Ballet Company and with the Harkness Ballet; dancing in the 1969 ballet competition in Moscow; joining the New York City Ballet; Mikhail Baryshnikov; his favorite roles at New York City Ballet.
