Binding (Pforz. copy 1): Contemporary straight-grained red morocco, gold-tooled and blind-stamped decorated panels on covers inside double fillets, spine in compartments decorated with gilded floral tools, a little rubbed, a.e.g. -- Provenance: Presentation copy "To/Lord Glenbounre/with the Author's/best compliments" on t.p. Another pres. Charles Carrol Milne on front free endpaper of H. Dunbar Brogden.
Binding (Pforz. copy 2): Contemporary polished calf, gilt tooled borders on covers, and gilt decoration in compartments on spine, black (reading "VOL./I") and red labels on spine, sprinkled edges, somewhat rubbed. -- Provenance: Calling card of Mr. Vansittart./Villa Salviati, inside of upper cover, with book-label of Gerald Wellesley. "G.Wellesley" in ink on verso of front free endpaper. "To the Rev. B. Drury/with the Author's best regards/-Sept. 1808-" on t.p. Cini no. 8.
