His manuscripts came into the posession of the late Professor Franz Boas, who turned them over to the New York public library ... By way of sampling the collection, below are offered two love songs ... and three folk tales ... The note on Aleut phonemics, which is also printed here, is by Professor Roman Jakobson, and the bibliography ... [p. 10-12] has been compiled by him with the assistance of the Slavonic division of the library."
