Summary
Follows the travels of a young Black minister just out of the seminary in order to illustrate the state of the black religious experience. E xplores the Black religious experience and the role of the contemporary Black church. Emphasizes religion as one of the basic elements of Black life in the United States, and a foundation from which many progressive Black movements have sprung.
