- Typed on fly-leaf: This copy of the proclamation of the President of the Unites States and of Don Donaciano Vigil, governor of the territory of New Mexico notifying the people of New Mexico of the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was printed at Santa Fe on a press belonging to the government. This is the only copy known to be in existence. Signed in manuscript: R.E. Twitchell.
