Summary
Interview with ballerina Evelyn Hart, recorded in several locales, including a Winnipeg park where the Royal Winnipeg Ballet is rehearsing on an outdoor stage. Hart discusses the dancer's body and the development of strength, the expressive capacity of body movement, partnering, and her artistic and personal goals. In briefer interviews, David Moroni and Brian Macdonald describe Hart's special qualities as a dancer. Dance excerpts include brief glimpses of Swan lake in rehearsal and performance ; a solo to the song "Le jazz hot" ; Belong, a duet choreographed by Norbert Vesak, and danced by Hart and David Peregrine (?) ; a scene from Rudi Van Dantzig's Romeo and Juliet.
