Summary
Scenes from the 77th annual Crow Fair and Celebration. The opening narration gives a brief history of the fair, which began in 1903. In the Grand entry, titles identify groups of dancers in regalia for the various categories of dances (men's traditional dances, men's grass dances, men's fancy dances, women's traditional dances, women's jingle [dress] dances, women's fancy shawl dances). Among the many dances depicted are the sneak dance, junior competitive dances (including the fancy dance, fancy shawl dance, and jingle dress dance), clan dancing, men and women partners' round dance, inter-tribal dancing and the Crow hop dance. Other events include a rodeo, horse racing, a parade with horseback riders and floats, a demonstration of Crow teepee construction, and an arrow-throwing demonstration.
