Summary

Janet Roston teaches three jazz dances, which she calls character choreography because "each dance has its own style and flavor." The dances are intended for groups of intermediate-level dancers, but can be simplified for beginners. Each dance is divided into sections which are first taught without music, then performed to music by dancers in costume. The dance is then performed in full. Dancers are advised to warm up before learning the dances.
