Summary
Report on the 1994 International Summer of Dance at Vail, Colorado, featuring performances by the Bolshoi Ballet Academy at Vail as well as appearances by guest artists from major American ballet companies. Sofia Golovkina, director of the Academy, appears in a brief interview, as do American and foreign students, who share their perceptions and experiences of the Academy. The students are seen in classes, rehearsals and performances, the latter at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. President Bill Clinton, glimpsed on a visit with his family, comments on the Academy's cultural contributions.
