Summary
Footage recorded for a projected documentary on Mary Anthony, a modern dancer, choreographer and teacher. Anthony teaches two classes in movement for actors at the Uta Hagen Herbert Berghof Studio (HB Studio) in Greenwich Village. The first class begins at ca. 17 min. into cassette 1, and continues for the first 22 min. of cassette 2. The second class begins at ca. 7 min. into cassette 3. Each class starts in a darkened room, with Anthony's voice audible as she directs the class in various exercises. The additional footage shows Anthony at her own studio at 736 Broadway, with exterior shots of the building ; Anthony walking in Lower Manhattan ; and the corridors and exterior of the HB Studio.
