Note
  • "The original of the volume now reproduced by photostat is in the Biblioteca Colombina, at Seville, Spain. The edition is without date or colophon, but is assigned to Johannes of Westphalia, who printed at Louvain from c. 1474 to 1496. Humboldt believed that this volume was printed about 1490, but Campbell gave an earlier year, 1483, and about 1485 is suggested by Proctor. On the authorship of the annotations, Thacher, Christopher Columbus, III, 475, may be consulted."--Note, signed in autograph of Worthington C. Ford.
