Summary
  • Katharine Hepburn talks about her love of movies, both as an art form and a medium in which to act, her early life and the reasons she became an actress, her films Morning glory and Little women, working with directors George Cukor and George Stevens, the film Stage door and its director Gregory La Cava, Bringing up Baby and its director Howard Hawks, her self-proclaimed flop Mary of Scotland, the time in her career when she was considered "poison at the box office", the film Philadelphia story and working with Spencer Tracy, the 1955 film Summertime in which she fell into a Venetian lagoon which resulted in an eye infection that lingers today, director David Lean, African queen and its director John Huston, the films Woman of the year and State of the Union, working with Judy Holliday in Adam's rib, how the Hollywood studio system benefitted her career, her films Pat and Mike and Guess who's coming to dinner with Spencer Tracy and the latter's director Stanley Kramer, and working with Henry Fonda in On Golden Pond.
