- Summary
- News story on the activities of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Vail, Colorado, which is directed by Sofia Golovkina. The program opens with a visit from former president Gerald R. Ford and his wife Betty. Scenes from the auditions for the school, held at the School of American Ballet in New York City, are followed by interviews with some of the teenaged students (among them Riolama Lorenzo, a future member of the New York City Ballet). The students are then seen in excerpts from their performance of the complete third act of The sleeping beauty.
