- Summary
- Fashion show presented at the gala opening of the exhibition The eighteenth century woman, organized by Diana Vreeland and the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum. The fashion show, introduced by designer Mary McFadden, includes four dancers in eighteenth-century costumes, who dance with models wearing clothes especially commissioned by the exhibition's sponsor, Merle Norman Cosmetics, from ten American designers. The fashion show is preceded by speeches by officials of Merle Norman Cosmetics.
