- Lillian Russell first appeared in this operetta in the role of Inez, playing the Broadway Theater, New York, N.Y., May 2-June 30, 1888. Subsequently she played Anita in performances at the Broadway Theater, Aug. 13-Sept. 11, 1888, the Columbia Theatre, Chicago, Ill., Oct. 1-6, 1888, and again at the Broadway Theatre, Jan. 7-19, 1889.
