Whereas many ill-disposed persons have made it their practice to go out of the lines, and steal the wood cut for the use of His Majetsy's army, and have presumed to bring the same into the city, which has obliged the barrack-master to forbid the bringing in any wood, without special license: but finding this order inconvenient to the well-disposed inhabitants, he now gives notice that all persons will be eprmitted to pass out of the lines, and return with wood, provided the same shall, when brought in, be of the length of eight feet; ----otherwise it will be seized for His Majesty's use.
