Summary
Working with beginning ballet students aged 7-9, ballet teacher Richard Glasstone discusses and demonstrates his teaching method, which begins by relating basic movements to everyday activities, rather than using ballet terminology. Older dancers demonstrate how these basic movements are used in classical ballet technique, and a professional dancer, Richard Slaughter, performs advanced versions of the same movements at the end of the program.
