  • The facsimile comprises the royal decree ordering the change in the calendar, the royal cedula addressed to the viceroy of Peru, enjoining compliance (both dated May 14, 1583, and received in Lima April 9, 1584) and the auto of the Peruvian audiencia ordering their printing and distribution, dated July 14, 1584.
