- Text of four articles that appeared in the Pall Mall gazette, July 6-8 and 10, 1885; the articles, though unsigned, were acknowledged to be the work of W.T. Stead, editor of the Pall Mall gazette. Stead was convicted of kidnapping and abetting indecent assault for the procuring of Eliza Armstrong ("Lily"; see p. 5) and served three months in prison. Cf. Schults, R.L.
