- "This play ... is published in book form under Ed. Rose's name by Samuel French. Rose made the Broadway dramatization and his contract stipulated that his name should be on all plays in which the character of Cappy Ricks was used. This contains some material of the Rose version, but its story and method are entirely different. This version was used in the 'Cappy Ricks' film and in the radio broadcast of the play."
