- John Lanchbery discusses his experience as musical director of the American Ballet Theatre; obstacles in touring with the American Ballet Theatre and rehearsing with different orchestras across the U.S.; his experiences conducting Jerome Robbins' and Bronislava Nijinska's versions of Les noces; altering the tempo to accommodate individual dancers; absence of the coda in Anthony Tudor's Sleeping Beauty; and his views on cuts (the practice of removing selections of music from ballets).
