Summary
  • Critic Mel Gussow discusses the life and career of playwright Edward Albee, subject of his recently published biography entitled Edward Albee: A singular journey. The discussion, conducted by Theater talk's co-hosts Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins, covers Mr. Albee's early successes The zoo story and Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf, the career difficulties of Albee's middle years, and Three tall women, his semi-autobiographical play of 1994 which marked a professional rebound.
