- Heinz Poll discusses his early training and life in Germany; Heinz Hilpert's new German theater; Berlin before the division of east and west and his life as a dancer under the political restrictions of the time; his move to the National Ballet of Chile and his renewed interest in ballet; his teacher Helena Poliakova; his move to the United States; building a school and strong base of dancers at the University of Akron in Ohio; his work with Tom Skelton; his current base of dancers; his teaching and choreographic style; preserving the individuality of his dancers while fostering their ability to adapt to different styles.
