- The Michael Parkinson show (ca. 19 min.) / BBC Dance Catalogue #351, Spool #L17045 ; February 24, 1982 ; interviewer, Michael Parkinson. Rudolf Nureyev is interviewed upon his return to the Royal Ballet, five years after his departure. He discusses the advantages and disadvantages of maturity for a dancer ; his late start in dance ; the rehearsal process ; what he has gained from his defection ; the question of retirement ; his third film, Exposed ; and his plans for the future. In a brief clip from The muppet show, he dances Swine lake with Miss Piggy.

Recorded in the studio, in rehearsal clothes, Brind and Nureyev rehearse excerpts from the Kingdom of the shades scene from La bayadère, and talk about their current performances in this ballet at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Also screened are brief clips from a Kirov Ballet performance of La bayadère (recorded by BBC2, 1979), and the balcony scene from Kenneth MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet, danced by Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn (b&w ; recorded by BBC1, 1965).

Recorded in the rehearsal studio of London Festival Ballet, Rudolf Nureyev is seen working with Evelyne Desutter, his partner in his own version of Romeo and Juliet, to be performed by London Festival Ballet as part of the Nureyev Festival at the London Coliseum. In a brief interview he discusses his enjoyment of teaching and dancing, and assesses his achievements since his defection.
