- Summary
- Segment from a television talk show recorded in Baltimore (?) during the Berlin Ballet's engagement at Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C. A largely unfavorable review of Valery Panov's The idiot is illustrated by excerpts recorded onstage, mostly in rehearsal clothes. Singled out for mention are Valery Panov (in the role of Rogozhin), Eva Evdokimova (Nastasya), Galina Panova (Aglaja), and Rudolf Nureyev (Prince Myshkin). Students of the Washington School of Ballet are seen in a dress rehearsal of the children's dance. The program includes a brief interview with Nureyev, recorded at a rehearsal.
