- Summary
- Belly dance performances by Artemis (Elizabeth Artemis Mourat), recorded in a variety of settings. In interview segments, interspersed with the dances, Artemis discusses the Turkish style of belly dance which she performs, and compares it to the Egyptian style predominantly found in the U.S. She describes her research into the history of belly dance, which inspired her piece Ancient images. Other topics include her work as a teacher of belly dance, and the Rom (Gypsy) roots of Turkish style belly dance.
