  • 1778-1828 are the dates of execution. Some prints were published at a later date.
  • D21 is on wove paper and bears plate-polishing scratches. According to Tomás Harris, Goya: engravings and lithographs, the first edition of D21 is on laid paper and bears plate-polishing scratches which are removed by the second edition.
  • D31 was possibly prepared for Los desastres de la guerra but was never published with that set.
  • D221 was prepared for Los proverbios but was never published with that set.
  • D24 bears a watermark resembling the Pro Patria watermarks in W. A. Churchill, Watermarks in paper in Holland, England, France, etc., nos. 127-153.
