Summary

Interview with Rudolf Nureyev, recorded in the studios of London Festival Ballet during rehearsals for a Nureyev Festival at the London Coliseum. Much of the discussion centers on Vaslav Nijinsky, the legendary dancer whose roles in Le spectre de la rose and L'après-midi d'un faune were to be danced by Nureyev. Nureyev also describes the special dance qualities of Margot Fonteyn, then 60, who was slated to dance the young girl in Spectre and the chief nymph in Faune. He is seen rehearsing excerpts from Spectre.
